The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Peoples Republic of Cork is the website for satirical debate on all things relating to the Republic's second city. It also has a successful line in t-shirts. This one would definitely amuse a certain octogenarian. .
