Yew Berries

I planted a Yew a few years ago in the full knowledge that it will, if untouched, be around for centuries, if not millennia. At present it is covered in bright red berries. Not surprisingly, given that it is nearly November, the garden is in decline even though some things are still well in flower. It is good to still see some colour as winter draws ever nearer.

I wish we would have a cou[le of colder winters. Although I loathe snow and I would rather be warm, the seasons seem to be well out of whack

Nice photo. There seems to be a bumper crop of berries this year. Today I saw group of holly trees that were absolutely covered in them.

I wasn't sure how that faux Southern accent would play out in your neck of the woods, jams, but it's traditional drawl around here to speak words of amore using that phrase, "I love yous." as opposed to just "I love you." My friend's grandma not too far from our homes raised sheep, and when we visited her, we would tell each other, "I love ewes. No, I LOVE ewes more!" Anyone outside our sick little joke probably assumed that we were indeed professing love one to another.

Hmm those who say I love ewes in the UK have less than honourable intentions towards them, the cads and bounders!
